Nonfiction hosts a massive material library with several hundred samples that inspire us and our clients every day. With our partners, Material ConneXion, we've build a dynamic space for meetings, workshops, brainstorms, education and more. Additionally, highlight several material topics in our Future Future Youtube series.
We realize that design is so much more than form and function. Every product has the opportunity to create an intimate relationship to the consumer through its material story. Materials engage, surprise and delight consumers through their look, feel and performance from day one, all the way to day 1000, and beyond. This is why we've brought the materials in house.
Nonfiction's material library is unique among design studios. It's rare for a client to have access to physical samples at a moments notice. This access facilitates creativity and communication while advancing the design process in unimaginable ways. Each material is mounted to a tabula that is easily pulled off the wall. We invite you to come touch, play, experience, test material properties and collaborate in our San Francisco studios.
Each material or process tabula is marked with a QR and numerical reference that links to the Material ConneXion online database. The digital library has a plethora of in information on each piece, its origin, vendor and much more. Access to this level of information speeds up our design and development process exponentially. We can quickly vet materials for appropriateness, connect with vendors directly and get solutions fast.
